Brooke
is an energetic, community oriented teacher and dance choreographer.
She has been on staff at numerous dance camps and events around North
America and was recently program director of the Bay Area Country Dance
Society English Dance and Music Week. Since 1996, Brooke and Chris
Sackett - her partner in life and dance - have devised English and
Scottish Country Dances to increasing national acclaim. They have
published three books of their dances, available from the
Country
Dance and Song Society.

Saturday morning dance workshop, 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Brooke
will review some of the Ball dances and, if time permits, may present
other dances. Brooke chose a programme of dances that she thought might
be less familiar to the dancers. She would like to focus on specific
figures and how to dance them well.
Saturday lunch and a time for socializing 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The afternoon is free for visiting and sightseeing.
The Victoria English Ball, 8:00 – 11:00 p.m., preceded by couple
dancing 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Dances will be
chosen
from the following list. St. Margaret’s Hill
will not be called or prompted at the Ball. Workshop attendance is
advised.
